A Camping Trip We Won't Forget

Trying to put up the tent themselves

I am so glad we have the Ds while camping

We took the girls on a very spontaneous camping trip. It was Lilly's first camping trip ever. I have to say she did very well. She help put up the tents, she help start the camp fire, and she help make messes. I think the girls enjoyed themselves for being a last minute idea. I know watching all the girls have fun was having fun myself. WE roasted marshmellows and we cooked hot dogs on an open fire. The air at night was extremely cold though. We froze our butts off. all in all we have a great time. It is something that I look forward to taking the girls on again. Enjoy a few pictures I took on our fabulous camping trip.

A two Year old on a cell Phone

Here is Lilly talking on the cell phone on the way home from Chicago. She insisted that everytime the phone rang she needed to talk and guess what everytime the phone rang she got to talk. She is such a silly girl.

Pumpkin Carving Night!!! Oh What a Night!!!

Lilly had to have a knife to carve her pumpkin

Let's just say Lilly loved carving pumpkins this year. She thought it was the coolest thing. She didn't like the inside as much as the other girls, but she did enjoy the final outcome. Once we were all done with hers we had to go out on the front porch and take a million pictures. Sam and Danni always have a blast carving the pumpkins. It is always fun to see what the older girls come up with. I can say this is a night that i look forward to all year. Enjoy the pictures.

My Favorite Picture
Danni and the zip lines

Last Sunday we went to the pumpkin patch. This was the first year that Lilly really enjoyed herself. She enjoyed seeing all the Halloween things. I think her favorite item was the pumpkins. Lilly is really into Halloween this year. Sam and Danni had a great time at the pumpkin patch as well. Danni's favorite item were the zip lines and Sam played the big sister role alot of the day. All in all it was an awesome day. Enjoy the pictures.

The Saint Michael's Day Dash 5K

Today we went an ran a little 5k. The 5k benefited fallen firefighters and police officers. Anna, Shannon, John, and myself all ran the course. It was a fun little course with some great little hills. I am came in 35th in my age group, shannon came in 25th in her age group, anna came in 7th in her age group, and John came in 72th of his age group and the reason John was so slow was because he was running with his dear wife. Lillian of course ran the race in her comfy stroller. She enjoyed it. It was a great morning.

The Fire Engine Rally

Saturday was the Fire Engine Rally right by our house. Anna had a truck from her district there and Shady had a truck from their district. So of course we had to go and check out all the trucks and check out what Anna was up to. They had games for the kids, a mock vehicle accident and the Helicopters landed. The girls had a great time. They got their face painted, but Lillian didn't want anything to do with the face painting.
